Leadership
The Institute’s leadership is organized through a multi-tiered structure that integrates global influence, governance oversight, academic expertise, and operational execution. This framework brings together the Global Advisory Council, the Board of Directors, the Academic & Policy Fellows, and the Executive Leadership to ensure both strategic vision and effective implementation.
The Global Leadership and Governance Institute (GLGI) is guided by high-level leadership and credible governance structure to support its mission in global leadership, governance innovation, public policy dialogue, and high-level international engagement. Its governance structure consists of the Board of Directors, Executive Leadership, and the Global Advisory Council. The structure brings together credible governance, executive implementation, and distinguished advisory guidance to ensure both institutional integrity and practical impact.
At the core of the Institute is the Board of Directors, which serves as the principal governance and decision-making body. The Board includes both Executive Board Members, who hold leadership or operational responsibilities, and Non-Executive Board Members, whose experience, judgment, and public standing contribute to the Institute’s credibility, strategic direction, and major institutional decisions.
The Institute’s day-to-day implementation is led by the Director General, supported by the Executive Leadership & Operations team. This executive layer is responsible for translating the Institute’s strategic vision into concrete programs, partnerships, outreach activities, policy dialogues, leadership initiatives, and institutional operations.
In addition, the Global Advisory Council provides academic, strategic, policy-oriented, and practice-based guidance. It includes distinguished members from the academic community, former public leaders, policy experts, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders. While the Advisory Council does not hold direct governance authority, it plays an important role in shaping the Institute’s intellectual direction, global relevance, program quality, and international engagement.
